National Night Out Success

What a night. Tuesday was National Night Out and our neighborhood really celebrated. We had over 20 kids enjoying the sprinkler, fire trucks, Sparky the Dog, Police Car, food and friends. It was so neat to see them all together. I think the 20+ adults had a lot of fun too. I certainly did. What a great idea to have an informal get together in the middle of the week.

This week has been so much fun for me. I've been on vacation all week, but am one of the Arts & Crafts leaders for the St William's Vacation Bible School. We've done so many different fun projects and will top off the week tomorrow, with of course, a scrapbook. The kids have all been so good, great listening, patience and all the new friendships really just makes me smile. My kids are having a blast and I'm so lucky that I've been able to share this with them. What a great week!

Here's a couple pictures from NNO.

Creative Memories National Showcase

As you know I'm a fairly new Creative Memories Consultant. But I also work part-time at Medtronic. It's a medical device company with an awesome mission. Our Medtronic Mission is to "...alleviate pain, restore health and extend life." It is an incredible company to work for.

This weekend is the Creative Memories National Showcase Convention in Minneapolis, MN. I attended a few sessions yesterday and they are another great company with an awesome mission. There goal is for us to help other preserve their families memories with a great tag line. "Your life, Your story, Your way". Creative Memories offers the highest quality products to be able to preserve your memories but the best part is the people. The consultants are there to help. Help others preserve memories and also help others have a successful business. I would love to help you do both!

I'm so lucky to be part of 2 great companies, but to top it all off. I came home to a wonderful husband and 3 great kids that really portray who I am. They really make my life complete. What more could a girl ask for?

So after this weekend I'll have so much to share, new products, new promotions and more memories of my own to preserve.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Wednesday

It's a gorgeous very early Wednesday morning (4:47am, to be precise). I'm going to go for a run in a minute but waiting for a little more light. I'm really dreading the winter and getting back on the treadmill for my long runs. Ugh...so I guess I'll enjoy it while I can.

Last night we spent a little time outsite with a few neighbors and my good friend Susie showed me a thank you card she made for her mother-in-law using Storybook Creator Plus. It was beautiful. I asked her to send it to me to share. She's not a "scrapbooker" but she said it was so easy and it looks awesome. I told her it was really nice to see a different side to the tools, it's doesn't always have to be "kiddie". Here it is:

When I got home, another friend had made me a personal Thank you also using SBC for lending her our "bumbo". It was adorable and I loved that it was made just for me! I might scan that one in for you to see.

Well I'm off to run...have a great day!

Happy Birthday Laney Cegielski

Summer days are so fun when filled with friends and family. My good friend Mandy Birdwell photographed my whole family today. Mandy does an amazing job and is an amazing friend! I'll post her blog on my favorite sites. August 24th marks 40 years of marriage for my parents. They wanted some updated photos. My mom has asked me to assemble a scrapbook for them of the past 40 years in summary. It's been a large, but fun task to take on. I'm about 80% done. So you know what I'll be doing in my free time.
After the pictures we drove to Wisconsin for an outdoor 1st birthday party for my neice Laney. She is a cutie!
Dan's (my husband) job was just reduced to 4 days a week for at least 3 months. It will be a bit of a financial strain but we staying positive in the fact that he didn't get laid off and now gets 1 day a week home to spend with the kids. I'm hoping to keep Fridays off still too.

I received my first page to share created by Angel Leckner using StoryBook Creator Plus. She has a 3 year old girl and 1 year old twin girls. Talk about busy!! But she's loving how quick and easy it is. She also completed a storybook of a trip to visit her mom with her 3 year old this spring. She shared the book with me and it's incredible, especially how much she journaled. She ordered one for her daughter and for her mom. Her mom loved it so much she had the "good tears". I love to hear those stories. Here's one of the pages she shared with me.
